EVA Airways orders four 787-10s, delivers US$145 million quarterly net profit

At the time of the top up announcement, the Taiwan-headquartered carrier said it is operating 11 787-10s and has five more of the type due for delivery. The airline also has purchased a GEnx-1B74/75 spare engine from GE Aerospace. The Star Alliance airline has booked a net profit of T$4.7 billion (US$145 million) for the three months to March 31, up 4.8% from T$4.5 billion a year ago and reported a revenue increase of 16.9%, to T$51.9 billion.
