Airbus has received a firm order from Saudia Group for 105 aircraft, comprising 12 A320neos and 93 A321neos.
Capital A maintenance, repair and overhaul subsidiary, Asia Digital Engineering, said its Cambodia joint-venture with Sivilai Asia Co Ltd had received its Approved Maintenance Organisation certification from the Cambodia State Secretariat of Civil Aviation.
Japan Airlines and Tamagawa Aero Systems have introduced a lithium-ion battery-powered ground power unit (eGPU) at Matsuyama Airport. The eGPU was expected to result in reduced greenhouse gas emissions compared with conventional diesel engine-powered GPUs and less noise.
Korean Air (KAL) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have announced a partnership to develop an artificial intelligence (AI) Contact Centre platform which used AI to answer customer queries via voice bots and chatbots. “Providing personalised experiences and swiftly resolving issues are key to developing and reinforcing customer trust,” KAL chief marketing officer, Kenneth Chang, said. “Our partnership with AWS will leverage advanced AI technologies to transform the way we interact with our customers to enhance the customer experience.”
Australia-based online travel agency, Webjet, has relaunched its partnership with AirAsia and AirAsia X group airlines.
