Japan Airlines receives inspection from transport ministry

Japan Airlines (JAL) was visited by inspectors from the country's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism as part of an audit of the flag carrier's safety procedures and processes, local media reported, citing comments from a Ministry official. Read More » The reports said four inspections attended JAL's offices at Tokyo Haneda Airport. The visit was prompted by a series of recent safety incidents involving the oneworld alliance member, including the fatal accident involving an A350-900 and a Japan Coast Guard aircraft at Tokyo Haneda in January. The Ministry stood ready to instruct JAL to rectify any issues found in its safety procedures and processes.
