Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) processed 4.2 million air travellers in April up 35.9% from the 3.1 million passengers it processed in April 2023. Read More » Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) said all passenger segments grew in the month with demand buoyed by the Easter holiday starting at the end of March. “Traffic to and from Southeast Asia, China and Japan recorded the biggest increases during the month,” AAHK said. HKIA’s passenger numbers for the 30 days represented a 65.2% recovery from the 6.5 million passengers who travelled through the airport in pre-pandemic April 2019.
