Vietjet doubles Vietnam-Melbourne route network

Vietjet commenced a second nonstop Vietnam-Melbourne route when a Vietjet passenger aircraft completed its inaugural Hanoi-Melbourne Tullamarine flight on June 4. Read More » The twice a week route joins existing five times weekly Melbourne-Ho Chi Minh City. “Since Vietjet's first flight to Australia in April 2023, we have continuously expanded our network connecting the five largest cities in Australia - Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide - with Ho Chi Minh City. Vietjet vice president, Nguyen Thi Thuy Binh, said. “The launch of Melbourne–Hanoi today and Sydney–Hanoi on June 8 proves our commitment to expanding our network and providing quality services between Australia and Vietnam.” Melbourne Airport chief of aviation, Jim Parashos, said: “The increased capacity in the market delivers benefits to passengers in the form of cheaper fares and provides exporters with access to high value markets.” Vietjet operates 58 flights a week between Vietnam and Australia.
