AirAsia Indonesia to open Bali-Cairns in August

Read More » The LCC will be competing with Qantas Group LCC, Jetstar Airways, on the route. “Cairns offers our guests from Bali and across Asia breathtaking scenery,” AirAsia Indonesia CEO, Veranita Yosephine, said. “This new route also is an important low-cost entranceway to more leisure and adventure travel across Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, India, China, Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia, South Korea and other destinations in our group network. Starting with three weekly services, we hope to grow the schedule based on demand.” Cairns will be the fifth Australian destination for the AirAsia and AirAsia X group of airlines alongside Queensland’s Gold Coast, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
