ANA HOLDINGS INC. delays Nippon Cargo Airlines acquisition to 2025

ANA HOLDINGS INC., parent of All Nippon Airways, has pushed back the date for full ownership of Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA) from Yusen Kaisha to March 31 next year. The transaction to establish NCA as its wholly-owned subsidiary via a share exchange was subject to regulatory approval, the company said. “Taking into consideration the time to complete the review of the business combination that will result from the share exchange by the relevant authorities in Japan and China etc., the company decided to change the effective date of the share exchange from July 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025,” an ANA a regulatory filing said. The proposed acquisition was announced last July. NCA has a fleet of eight 747-8F freighters and five 747-400Fs flown by other airlines.
