Auckland Airport upgrades terminal to improve passenger traffic flow

Auckland Airport has commenced redesigning its domestic terminal with signage that will designate the terminal into A, B and C zones replacing the present layout of domestic, regional and Jetstar areas in the building. Read More » “We are finding people are entering the terminal through the nearest entrance and weaving through it, often going backwards and forwards, to arrive at the right place,” Auckland Airport chief customer officer, Scott Tasker, said. New signage will guide passengers to the closest entrance for their departures and make it easier to tell someone to meet you at the door to Zone A or beside Bag Drop C, he said. “It is a simple solution to reduce some of the way-finding quirks that have developed over time in the domestic terminal,” Tasker added. The upgrade will refurbish all bathrooms, improve the terminal’s layout, introduce more food court choices and increase airside seating.
