Japan Airlines regional wing to offer free internet on E190 fleet

Read More » To celebrate the additional service, delivered by Intelsat, J-AIR is offering unlimited video streaming for passengers flying on regional E190 routes from July 12 and September 30. “I tried watching my favourite movie during a test flight and the two-hour journey felt incredibly short,” J-AIR president, Shunsuke Honda, said. “We are looking forward to everyone experiencing this service and are excited about welcoming more passengers aboard J-AIR flights.” Intelsat director of airline partnerships Asia- Pacific, John Hopkins, said: “Technological innovations are delivering higher capacity satellite communications to J-AIR flights. We are confident J-AIR passengers will be satisfied with this new service.” JAL is working ‘to enhance its inflight Wi-Fi service by increasing the speed of connectivity on domestic flights and offering free access on international flights in the near future’, “he said.
