ACIA Aero Leasing has delivered a second ATR 72-500 freighter to Pattaya Airways. The delivery completed a two-aircraft deal for the type between the lessor and Thai freight carrier, ACIA said in a media post.
China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings has signed share transfer framework agreement with Shanghai Tongshen Financial Leasing Co for the sale of five A321CEO with the transaction to be finalised by August.
Etihad Cargo and Kuehne+Nagel have agreed a strategic collaboration. The cargo operation will deliver aviation logistics real-time capacity and pricing across its network as part of a direct eBooking integration.
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) said airline profitability “stabilised” in first quarter 2024 “despite the persistent challenges of inflation, operational constraints such as employee strikes, aircraft delivery delays and the grounding of certain aircraft types”, the association’s latest monitor reports. The update covers the financial performance of 60 airlines representing 70% of global revenues.
Travel technology company, SITA, has acquired airline flight operations services provider, ASISTIM, for an undisclosed sum. SITA said the deal meant it can offer centralised airline Operations Control Centre (OCC) services to help airlines address staff shortages, rising costs and changing demands. “By centralising OCC services, we assist airlines to manage daily or peak operations more smoothly, delivering a scalable solution for all sizes,” SITA CEO, David Lavorel, said. “"Now, we are ready to build on ASISTIM’s legacy of service excellence to expand our offerings.”
