Singapore Airlines (SIA) is to build its China presence with the inauguration of daily nonstop Singapore-Beijing Daxing International Airport in final quarter 2024. Read More » The Star Alliance member's service to the Mainland capital's second airport will take off on November 11 and be operated with two-class 787-10s fitted with 36 business and 301 economy seats. “China is a key market for the Singapore Airlines Group,” SIA acting senior vice president of marketing planning, Dai Haoyu, said. “This new flight to Beijing Daxing will allow SIA to offer an additional daily service to Beijing, a popular destination for tourists and business travellers.” SIA’s airlines, Singapore Airlines and LCC Scoot, fly to 24 destinations in China from their home hub. More immediately, SIA will increase its Singapore-Beijing Capital Airport frequency to triple daily from August 5, up from 18 a week at present.
