Willis Lease Finance Corporation (WLFC), global lessor of commercial aircraft engines and international provider of aviation services, has finalized a deal with Pratt & Whitney, a division of RTX Corporation, to purchase and lease back up to 15 PW1100G-JM GTF aircraft engines. The transaction is expected to be finalized by year-end.

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), a member of the SATS Group, has been awarded a three-year cargo handling contract extension with Singapore Airlines (SIA) in the UK, France and Belgium. The partnership includes London Gatwick Airport where SIA is preparing to commence direct five times a week Singapore-London Gatwick. “We are proud to be growing our relationship with Singapore Airlines and be supporting the airline’s global reputation for service excellence. As part of SATS Group, WFS is able to offer an end-to-end cargo handling solution on these routes leveraging the uniqueness of our partnership and ownership,” WFS CEO Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia (EMEAA), John Batten, said.

Challenge Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with China Henan Aviation Co., the holding company and owner CGO Airport, to increase flight frequency, enhance connectivity and boost capacity for e-commerce and other commodities. Currently operating five flights a week, Challenge Group plans to increase frequency to build CGO Airport into a multimodal hub that will expand its presence in the Mainland market.

Australian logistics solutions company, Team Global Express, has agreed a $480 million seven-year partnership with trans-Tasman cargo airline, Texel Air Australasia, enhancing its domestic air freight operations.
