Akasa Air builds Middle East network

India-based Akasa Air is adding Abu Dhabi to its international network with daily flights from Mumbai to the United Arab Emirates hub to commence on July 11 and be flown with 737 MAX 8s. Read More » Abu Dhabi is Akasa's fourth destination in the Middle East alongside Doha, Jeddah and Riyadh. “With its distinct tourist attractions and promising trade prospects, Abu Dhabi has emerged as a destination of choice for India’s leisure and business travellers. Demand for air travel between the two countries continues to flourish,” Akasa Air co-founder and senior vice president of international, Neelu Khatri, said. It will be the sixth airline serving the route after Air Arabia, Air India Express, Etihad Airways, IndiGo and Vistara.
