China and Kazakhstan expand air services agreement

Read More » The agreement allows Kazakhstan-designated airlines to operate up to 52 flights a week into China in the current northern hemisphere summer scheduling season and increase services to 62 flights weekly in 2025, Air Astana said. Kazakhstan carriers have been granted rights to serve Guangzhou and unlimited flights, including fifth-freedom services, to southern China’s Haikou, Qionghai and Sanya. Expanded rights also have been approved for cargo services. “The number of Air Astana flights between Kazakhstan and China is set to increase following agreements reached at the meeting,” Air Astana said. The Kazakhstan airline flies daily to Beijing, five times a week to Urumqi from Almaty and three times weekly to Beijing from Astana.
