Asia-Pacific airline group inaugurates turboprop safety conference

Association of Asia-Pacific Airlines (AAPA) director general, Subhas Menon, welcomed more than 100 delegates to the association’s first turboprop safety conference, held in Kuala Lumpur last week. Read More » Delegates from 20 turboprop operators as well as airport representatives, manufacturers, regulators and aviation safety organisations participated in the conference that focused on turbo aviation safety and included panels on safety culture, advancements in technology and regulatory frameworks. “Turboprops have a crucial role in bridging the transportation gaps for access to goods, services, tourism and ultimately better livelihoods for remote communities in far flung areas. The insights and collaboration fostered during this conference will go a long way to supporting safe and reliable turboprop operations,” Menon said.
