Administrators for collapsed Australian LCC, Bonza, have placed the airline in liquidation after a fruitless search for a new owner. Read More » The decision to liquidate the carrier follows a second meeting of creditors on July 2. “The administrators ran an extensive sales campaign involving numerous investors, other airlines and companies from the travel industry,” Hall Chadwick said. “Unfortunately, the administrators had not received any offers for the sale of the company business and/or assets at the conclusion of the campaign.” The decision to enter liquidation gives the LCC’s former employees the opportunity to receive unpaid entitlements from an Australian government scheme. Bonza collapsed into voluntary administration last April when lessors seized its operating fleet.
