Airbus delivers 700th A320 assembled in China

Earlier this week, Airbus marked the delivery of its 700th A320 family aircraft assembled at its Final Assembly Line in Tianjin. Read More » The A320neo, configured with 180 economy class seats, was accepted by Chengdu Airlines, an operator of 52 A320 family single aisles. “The delivery of the 700th A320 family aircraft from Tianjin underscores the unwavering commitment of our China teams to support our global A320 family ramp-up plan. Airbus remains dedicated to strengthening our strategic collaboration with China and reinforcing our long-term commitment to this thriving market,” Airbus executive vice president and China CEO, George Xu, said. Opened in 2008, Tianjin was the OEM’s first commercial aircraft assembly line outside Europe. In 2023, Airbus began construction of a second FAL in Tianjin. The new facility is scheduled to be fully operational in early 2026.
