China Southern Airlines and Malaysia Airlines expand partnership

China Southern Airlines (CSA) and Malaysia Airlines (MAS) have added routes to a code-share agreed a year ago. Read More » They are CSA-operated Guangzhou-Penang, MAS-operated Kuala Lumpur-Beijing Daxing and Kuala Lumpur-Shanghai Pudong. MAS, part of Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), operates 53 flights a week into China. CSA plans its China-Malaysia network to soon reach 73 flights a week. “By expanding our codeshare agreement, travellers can enjoy an enhanced travel experience by seamlessly connecting to more destinations with greater convenience and flexibility,” MAG CEO of airlines, Ahmad Luqman Mohd Azmi, said. “This is especially beneficial as a result of the recent introduction of visa-free travel between the two countries.” CSA senior vice president marketing, Zhang Dongsheng, said the airline is deepening its cooperation with MAS.
