Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) has launched an incentive programme to encourage airlines to start routes or increase flights to the Special Administrative Region. Read More » The Hong Kong International Airport’s network development program is offering financial incentives, for a maximum of three years, to airlines adding Hong Kong to their networks or to carriers operating into Hong Kong that increase frequency to AAHK’s targeted regions or countries. “While we are confident in HKIA’s development in the long term, the new programme encourages home-based and foreign airlines to bring forward route launches and/or increase in frequency of flights connecting to HKIA,” AAHK acting CEO, Vivian Cheung, said. “The programme has a received positive response from airlines since its launch last month. AAHK will continue to engage with existing local and foreign airlines at HKIA and is reaching out to other airlines about the programme.”
