Embraer books US$128.1 million interim profit

Embraer has reported a net profit of US$128.1 million for the six months to June 30, a return to the black from net losses of US$89.6 million in the same months a year ago. The Brazil-headquartered aerospace OEM also reaffirmed its guidance of delivering 72 to 80 commercial aircraft to customers this year. At June 30, Embraer clients had received 26 commercial aircraft. “We are fully committed to reaching our full-year guidance despite supply chain constraints we continue to deal with,” Embraer chief financial officer, Antonio Carlos Garcia, said. Embraer’s financial statement also disclosed it expected arbitration proceedings with Boeing, following their failed merger, to be concluded in the current quarter and added it was “unable to predict the outcome of the arbitration proceedings”.
