Virgin Australia’s fleet renewal to include Embraer E190-E2s

Virgin Australia (VA) has confirmed an order for eight Embraer narrow-bodies to replace VA’s Fokker fleet. Read More » Deliveries will commence in the second half of 2025. The small jets, powered by P&W1900G engines, will be based in Perth Western Australia and be operated by Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA). The jets will begin entering into service in October next year. “When the E190-E2s join the fleet from late next year, they will predominately operate charter flights for VARA, bolstering its position as a leading operator in the West Australian charter market,” VA CEO, Jayne Hrdlicka, said.
