Asiana Airlines increasing capacity for annual Thanksgiving holiday

Asiana Airlines will add 12,000 seats to its domestic and international networks from September 14 to September 18 to cater for anticipated higher demand during the three-day Chuseok holiday. Read More » Chuseok, or South Korean Thanksgiving Day, is one of the most important holidays in the nation’s annual calendar. The South Korean carrier will operate 52 more flights, divided among eight destinations, from Seoul during the holiday period. The extra services will fly to Da Nang, Fukuoka, Miyazaki, Osaka, Okinawa, Sapporo, Taipei and Ube and will include eight more Seoul Gimpo-Jeju services. Asiana also is up gauging four flights weekly from Seoul Incheon to Taipei with the A380 and will operate additional services to Barcelona, Istanbul and Kota Kinabalu. The Star Alliance member expects international flight reservations “to be high on both short-haul and long-haul routes”.
