Alaska Airlines said the time period for the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to complete its regulatory investigation into its proposed merger with Hawaiian Airlines had expired. “This is a significant milestone in the process to join our airlines,” Alaska Airlines said.

Boeing has invested in Australia’s Wagner Sustainable Fuels to support the local sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) industry. The terms of the partnership were first announced in April. The investment support an engineering study for the eventual construction of a SAF refinery, Boeing said.
