Air China and China Southern Airlines to launch C919 commercial flying

China’s Air China and China Southern Airlines (CSA) are near to flying their C919s, plane spotter images indicate. In recent days, C919s painted in the liveries of Air China and CSA have been sighted at the airport adjacent to COMAC’s production facility in Shanghai. CSA has taken to China’s Weibo micro blogging platform to announce the first of its C919s will join the carrier on August 28. Separately, Air China has revealed its C919s will be configured with 158 seats in two classes, the most spacious cabin layout of the three state-owned operators of the type. Also, Air China is reported to be the launch customer of the extended range C919.
