China’s new Hejing Bayinbuluke Airport opens for passenger business

Read More » It is the third Mainland airport to begin operations this year, the 27th civil aviation airport in Xinjiang and the second high-altitude airport in the region. The new facility has a 4C rating, allowing it to accept A320s, 737s and smaller aircraft. The terminal area covers 3,500 square meters, has six Class C parking stands and a 3,000 metres long runway. It is designed to process 250,000 passengers, 500 tons of freight and 2,300 aircraft take-offs and landings a year.
