Cathay Pacific Airways A350s to return to full operating schedule from September 6

It had completed a “rigorous” inspection of its 18 A350-1000s and 30 A350-900s, it said, after one A350-1000, bound for Zurich on September 2, developed ‘an engine component failure” and returned to Hong Kong. Since September 2, the airline has cancelled 68 flights. At press time, only regional flights were being cancelled. Bloomberg News has reported Cathay Pacific engineers have been instructed to specifically check the flexible hoses supplying fuel to the engine for abnormalities, deformation, kinks, bulges or degradation.
