Vietjet reports huge surge in interim profit

Vietjet said revenue reached VND33.862 trillion (US$1.37 billion) in first half 2024 and that pre-tax profit for the six months was higher by 688% year-on-year. Read More » The LCC reported interim consolidated revenue of VND34.030 trillion and a consolidated pre-tax profit of more than VND1 trillion, increases of 15% and 307%, respectively, compared with interim 2023. Vietjet flew 13.1 million passengers and performed more than 70,000 flights in the reported months. International passengers reached 5.5 million and international flights exceeded 28,300, up 52% and 43%, respectively, for the reported period. Vietjet operates 38 domestic and 111 international routes with a fleet of 105 aircraft.
