Air China debuts C919 commercial passenger operations

Read More » CA1523 departed for Shanghai Hongqiao after a ceremony at Beijing Capital Airport attended by airline staff and Mainland aviation officials. It was welcomed with a water salute when it landed at its destination. Air China is offering specially branded cabin products, meals and commemorative baggage tags for passengers flying on the aircraft. Social media site, Weibo, reported the C919, registration B-919X, was parked at the remote apron at Hongqiao where disembarking passengers were permitted to take photos of the home grown airplane.
