Virgin Australia revises 737 MAX order

Virgin Australia (VA) CEO, Jayne Hrdlicka, said the airline had converted orders for 12 737 MAX 10s to 737 MAX 8s to bring more next generation narrow-bodies into its fleet at a faster delivery rate. Read More » Hrdlicka revealed the order change at the CAPA Centre for Aviation Airline Leader Summit Australia-Pacific on September 13. She said the decision was made to ensure VA had a steady pipeline of aircraft arriving at the carrier. VA is scheduled to accept six 737 MAX 8s in the next 12 months, she added. At press time, VA is flying eight 737 MAX 8s tracking websites show.
