Singapore Airlines Q1 profit boost

Singapore Airlines (SIA) said its fourth quarter net profit surged 47% year-on-year, to S$39.6 million, ($30.05 million) on revenue of S$3.88 billion, up from S$3.63 billion, as its fuel bill declined, but warned of a tough outlook due to stiff competition, particularly in the Americas and Europe.
