Vietnam Airlines to inaugurate Hanoi-Milan next July

Vietnam is Italy’s largest trading partner in the ASEAN and is Vietnam’s fourth largest trading partner within the European Union. “Italy is emerging as a significant market for Vietnam’s aviation sector. In 2023, Vietnam welcomed 81,000 tourists from Italy, about 89% of pre-COVID numbers. In first quarter this year, Italian visitors to Vietnam were higher by 32% compared with the same three months in 2019,” the flag carrier said.
