Qantas seeks allocation for third Tokyo Haneda service

Read More » The oneworld alliance member said in its application to Australia's International Air Services Commission (IASC) the allocation of a third daily slot at Haneda would allow the airline to offer daily flights to the close-in Tokyo airport from Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney from March 30 2025. "It is anticipated that a third daily service will commence with an Airbus A330 aircraft configured with 297 seats," Qantas said in its submission to the IASC, which manages Australia's international air traffic rights. Currently, Qantas serves Haneda twice daily from Sydney, and flies to Tokyo Narita from Brisbane and Melbourne. The additional Haneda slot has become available after Virgin Australia said recently its was ending its Cairns-Haneda service in February next year.
