AerCap has announced a US$500 million share buyback program, which will run trough to March 2025.
Boom Supersonic said its XB-1 test aircraft reached a new top speed of Mach 0.617 during its fourth test flight at the Mojave Air and Space Port in California.
DHL said its 20% of its cargo flights transporting Formula 1 teams' equipment to races outside of Europe, starting with the Australian Grand Prix in March, have used some sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
FedEx has reported net profit of US$790 million for the three months to August 31, down 26.9% from US$1.08 billion in the same three-month period in 2023. Revenue was down 0.5% at US$21.6 billion, FedEx said in a regulatory filing. The company said the first quarter results were "negatively affected by a mix shift, which reduced demand for priority services, increased demand for deferred services, and constrained yield growth", as well as higher operating expenses.
Fiji Airways has announced a collaboration with The Fiji Sugar Corporation Limited and Lee Enterprises Consulting to study the feasibility of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production in Fiji. The Asia Development Bank will fund and oversee the project's implementation.
The International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) said 29 states have endorsed The Delhi Declaration, which sets key commitments for safety, air navigation, and aviation security, as well as on reducing emissions and other environmental impacts, at the Second Asia Pacific Ministerial Conference on Civil Aviation in New Delhi.
