AirAsia Malaysia lifts domestic capacity

AirAsia Malaysia has announced a capacity boost to its domestic network ahead of an expected busy end-of-year travel period. Read More » The LCC said it had added 2,000 weekly flights and 150,000 seats across 40 key routes in the period between now and the end of the year. The schedule update was expected to lift AirAsia Malaysia's market share in its home market to 64%. “Like many other airlines, we are navigating challenges such as aircraft shortages and supply chain disruptions,” AirAsia Malaysia managing director, Dato’ Captain Fareh Mazputra, said. “However, we have made it a priority to manage these issues with careful planning, operational efficiency and reliable service recovery to minimise the impact on our guests whilst ensuring they get to their destinations safely.”

In other AirAsia news, AirAsia Cambodia is launching its second international route in November, when it commences daily nonstop flights to Singapore from Siem Reap. The LCC already flies between Phnom Penh and Kuala Lumpur.
