Read More » The forecast, in the Airbus Global Services Forecast for 2024-2043, was underpinned by rising demand for air travel, fleet growth and more digitally-enabled and connected aircraft. The expected growth was down from the expected 151.1% improvement for the Asia-Pacific region – from US$45 billion to US$113 billion – in last year's 2023-2042 Global Services Forecast. “The Asia-Pacific region will see the largest volume of growth and activity in terms of aftermarket services, with many opportunities for additional efficiency, simplification and responsible operations," Airbus senior vice president for customer services, Cristina Aguilar Grieder, said. Airbus said the Asia-Pacific region was forecast to require 999,000 new skilled professionals in the region – 268,000 new pilots, 298,000 new technicians and 433,000 new cabin crew members – to meet the demand for air travel.
