China Southern Airlines (CSA) will increase its “Down Under” presence with two new routes from Beijing Daxing airport. Read More » From December 13, CSA will fly four times a week Beijing Daxing-Sydney with A330-300s followed by the launch of three times weekly Beijing Daxing-Melbourne the next day, also with A330s. “This marks another step in our commitment to improving connectivity with China. With the market recovering to nearly 90% [from pre- pandemic operations] in first half 2024 and peaking at a remarkable 97% in July, these flights will add much needed capacity and provide a strong impetus for a continuing recovery, reinforcing Sydney's position as the premier gateway for traffic to and from China,” Sydney Airport Group Executive, Aviation Growth & Group Strategy, Greg Botham, said.
