Thai Airways International on schedule to hit business rehabilitation target

Thai Airways International (THAI) is expected to conclude its business rehabilitation under the supervision of Thailand's Central Bankruptcy Court by mid- 2025, local media reports, quoting the chair of the airline's business rehabilitation plan executive committee, Piyasvasti Amranand. Read More » The court approved the business rehabilitation plan, a capital and debt restructuring, in 2024. In a regulatory filing in late September, the process for creditors to potentially convert their debt to equity was scheduled for completion last November. It allows the company to provide notification of the shares to be offered for sale to the company's existing shareholders. The Star Alliance member has unveiled a new growth strategy, “Fly for the new pride”, which THAI CEO, Chai Eamsiri, said was part of the airline group’s efforts to achieve strong and sustainable growth, adapt to change quickly and support new business opportunities.
