Air cargo demand remains robust reports global airline association

Read More » Capacity was higher by 6.2% year-on-year, the airline lobby group said. “We continue to see very good news in air cargo markets,” IATA director general, Willie Walsh, said. “Even with record levels of capacity, yields are up 11.7% on 2023, 2% on the previous month, and 46% above pre-pandemic levels. This strong performance is underpinned by slow but steady growth in global trade, booming e-commerce and continuing capacity constraints on maritime shipping.” The Asia-Pacific recorded 14.6% CTK growth for the reported month, the biggest increase of the six regions covered in the IATA data.
