Qantas Airways frequent flyer members fall victim to off shore cyber attack

An estimated 800 customers of the Qantas Airways frequent flyer program are believed to have had their personal data accessed by staff at a third-party contractor in India, local media reports. Read More » The alleged incident involved two employees who changed the bookings and flight details of the impacted Qantas FFP members and transferred the points to another account. The illegal activity has been referred to police in India. A Qantas spokesperson said the airline had apologised to all customers with accounts accessed and added the conduct at the contractor had affected several airlines.
