China Eastern Airlines recorded near 11.5 million passengers in latest month

China Eastern Airlines (CEA) has reported its passenger capacity increased 10.33% year-on-year for September, at 107.8% of the same month in 2019. Read More » Additionally, passenger traffic improved 25.2% year-on-year, reaching 112.8% of the same 30 days in 2019. Passenger load factor was better by 9.9%, at 83.51%, an increase of 3.65 percentage points compared with 2019, the carrier said. For the month, CEA welcomed 11.43 million passengers aboard its flights, 16% more than a year ago. Nearly 1.44 million passengers traveled on international routes, an 80.7% increase compared with September 2023.
