Batik Air Malaysia commenced nonstop Kuala Lumpur Subang-Kota Bharu on October 21. Read More » The first flight, flown with a 737-800, is the airline’s second destination from Subang alongside its existing Penang service from Malaysia’s largest city. The Lion Group carrier is keen to add destinations from Subang to its network, particularly Kota Kinabalu and Kuching. “We are proud to offer our customers the convenience of flying direct to Kota Bharu, utilising the 737 to provide a faster and more comfortable journey,” Batik Air CEO, Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy, said. “This route, along with our existing services, will cater to the strong demand we have observed from Subang.” Malaysia Aviation Group airline, Firefly, flies Subang-Kota Bharu with ATR 72 turboprops.
