South Korea’s airlines increase pilot hires to meet robust post-pandemic demand

Korean Air (KAL) recruited 119 pilots, followed by T'way Air (114), Eastar Jet (79), Jin Air (68) and Air Busan (39). Flight attendants newly working for the country’s carriers reached a collective 1,216 in the first eight months of 2024, approaching the 1,238 cabin crew employed in full-year 2023.
