Plaza Premium Group (PPG), a global airport hospitality services provider, and Shanghai Pudong Airport Ltd, will open an Aerotel hotel in terminal 2 at Shanghai Pudong airport in second quarter 2025.

Qantas Airways, in collaboration with the Australian Border Force (ABF), and the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF), is launching the Australia Travel Declaration pilot, aimed at streamlining the passenger experience through digital credentials and facial recognition technology, instead of traditional paper forms. The pilot program began on October 21 on Auckland to Brisbane flights.
