Thai AirAsia is on track to carry 20 million to 21 million passengers in calendar 2024, flagging significant growth in the final quarter of the year. Read More » The LCC inaugurated nonstop Bangkok Don Mueang to Hyderabad, Phu Quoc and Phuket-Kolkata on October 27 and will begin Phuket-Siem Reap today (October 29) and to Chennai on October 30. “The Indian market has grown remarkably this year. Buoyed by this exciting trend, we decided to add three routes to India, now connecting Thailand to 12 cities across the country with a 14 route network," Thai AirAsia head of commercial, Tansita Akrarittipirom, said. “Based on the travel demand growth between both countries, we expect to close the year with an average load factor of above 90%." Thai AirAsia flew 18.9 million passengers in full-year 2023.
