Emirates Airline signs partnerships with two Vietnam-headquartered carriers

Emirates Airline has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with Vietnam's largest carriers - Vietnam Airlines and LCC Vietjet - intended to expand connectivity between Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates. Read More » The goals of MoU with Vietnam Airlines is to broaden the scope of the existing interline agreement between the two carriers, examine of offering their passengers reciprocal frequent flyer benefits and discuss potential cargo and technical services partnerships. The Dubai carrier’s MoU with Vietjet is focused on connecting Emirates passengers to the LCC's domestic and regional networks and providing Vietjet passengers increased access to the Emirates global network. “Enhancing our cooperation with like-minded partners such as Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet is integral to our core commercial strategy to better connect customers across points beyond our own network,” Emirates chief commercial officer, Adnan Kazim, said. Vietnam Airlines executive vice president, Nguyen Chien Thang, said: “We are excited about the possibilities this partnership brings in strengthening ties between the two airlines as well as the two countries." Vietjet CEO, Dinh Viet Phuong, added: “Through this collaboration, Vietjet passengers will enjoy cost-effective, seamless journeys to international destinations worldwide.”
