ANA HOLDINGS posts US$527 million interim profit

ANA HOLDINGS INC. (ANA AH), parent of All Nippon Airways, Air Japan and Peach, has reported a net profit of 80.7 billion yen (US$527 million) for the six months to September 30, a 13.4% decline from a 93.2 billion yen net profit in the same months in 2023. Read More » Operating revenue increased 9.7%, to 1.1 trillion yen, ANA HD said in a regulatory filing. There was strong demand for inbound travel to Japan in the half and domestic passenger volume and revenue exceeded 2023 levels, the company said. “The positive first half financial result emphasises ANA HD's strategy of sustainable expansion from a continued focus on expenses and targeted growth,” ANA executive vice president and group chief financial officer, Kimihiro Nakahori, said. The group raised its forecast full-year net profit to 120 billion yen, from 110 billion yen previously, in anticipation of continuing strong passenger and cargo demand and the positive impact of foreign exchange movements.
