Cathay Pacific planning long-haul jet order to accommodate a decade of growth

Cathay Pacific chief operations and service delivery officer, Alex McGowan, told Bloomberg Markets on November 6 the airline intends to begin negotiations with manufacturers about additions to its long-haul fleet to cater for up to ten years of expansion. Read More » Speaking on the sidelines of a CAPA aviation conference in Hong Kong, McGowan said the likely review of new aircraft purchases will include 787 and 777-9 types. The next long-haul aircraft order will be “the final component” in a series of Cathay Group deals in recent years, he told Bloomberg.
