Air New Zealand and Cathay Pacific alliance extended to October 2029

Read More » The two carriers established the joint venture for flights between New Zealand and Hong Kong, and some beyond destinations, in 2013. “Together, we have built a robust network that not only connects New Zealanders to destinations around the world, including Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland, but ensures convenient access for global travellers to explore New Zealand via Hong Kong,” Air New Zealand chief transformation and alliances officer, Michael Williams, said. Cathay Pacific regional general manager for the Southwest Pacific, Frosti Lau, said: “We have continued to increase our frequency to New Zealand and are proud to work with Air New Zealand to offer wider choices to the local market and to Hong Kong and surrounding regions.” The two airlines operate up to 18 flights a week in peak air travel cycles.
