Air China records double-digit passenger growth in October

Air China transported 13.8 million passengers on its domestic, international and regional networks in October, up 18.1% from the 11.7 million air travellers they carried in the same month a year ago. Read More » Domestic passengers increased 13.5%, to 12 million, international air travellers carried jumped 72.4%, to 1.4 million, and passenger capacity expanded 14.5% against a year ago. After a long lag, capacity on international routes was 55% higher year-on-year, Air China said. Domestic capacity proceeded at a more sedate pace of 3% for the month with the flag carrier’s overall passenger load factor 5.1 percentage points better at 81.9%. The Star Alliance member’s operating fleet increased by one ARJ21-700 to stand at 925 aircraft at October 31.
