Vietjet reports US$3.3 million interim profit

Revenue rose 193%, to 14.7 trillion dong, Vietjet said in a regulatory filing to Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange. Costs were up 77.2%, at 14.2 trillion dong. “Vietjet’s positive performance for the first six months of 2022 is the result of a robust recovery in travel demand, particularly on domestic routes. They grew 30% over the same period in pre-pandemic 2019,” the LCC airline group said. “Vietjet will continue its stringent cost reduction measures and expedite digitalisation projects to optimise operation costs.”
